I bought new ponio two amigo fleece rugs and an amigo lightweight turnout. I tried the turnout on and it came past her knees so i sent it back. The fleeces were the same so I took the bottom off of one so she could wear it in the stable. But now it seems it might be too short in the body because it moves and is very tight round her chest in the morning. I've bought the same size as her other rugs (5'6), and they fit fine (one is a rambo turnout).

I need to buy another fleece, but am now wondering what to do. If I buy a 5'9 it'll be too deep on her again, and they're not that easy to take up (with the amigo I had to take the surcingle off and re attatch it). 5'6 is quite long for a 13hh pony so i can see where the problem lies, but where can i find rugs that fit?

I find the amigo rugs are deep as a rug ( which is actually why i like them as have a deep chested horse) Maybe it might be worth trying a different brand?? http://www.tds-saddlers.com/ProductDetails.asp?PCLinkID=9747
These are a good price and there is a useful size guide on there.
I bought a mark todd under rug the other day and despite the fact i have a 6ft 6 mark todd turn out and the fact she wears a 6ft 6 in every rug i have ended up with a 6ft in the under rug as they were huge!

i don't have the depth problem but i know what you mean about Amigo's pulling tight on the chest if you leave them on for long nearly all fleeces/sheets do this on my pony its a nightmare !!

Horseware have a specific pony range think, if not might be worth looking at cuddly ponies fleeces? i know they are meant for kids but as they are pony-specific they may be a better fit ??

good luck!!

Thanks, but the pony sized stuff doesnt go up to a 5'6
