Rug holders

I have a very narrow tack room behind my stable and currently, rugs are hanging by their front straps from hooks, but they end up dragging on the ground because of the hook height, and when there is more than one rug on the hook, it starts getting bulky and untidy.

These holders - https://www.redpostequestrian.co.uk...ittings/horse-guard-metal-rugs-hanger__200434 - look like they would allow me to store the rugs a bit more neatly, but I’m not sure they seem sturdy enough to hold multiple heavy rugs. Does anyone have any experience of using them and could tell me whether or not they worked?

Alternatively, any suggestions on homemade options would be great! I can’t fix anything to the walls, so am limited to what I can hang from existing hooks (plus store on shelves at one side, which is fine for the rugs that aren’t in regular use, but not ideal for the everyday ones).

Thanks for any input or suggestions!

in my experience they’re sturdy enough for multiple, but it’s a pain getting them on/off, and looks very messy because nothing lays flat! if you’ve got space for a couple they may work better
Thanks so much. The ease of use was the other thing I was worried about. I have space for two, but then they would ideally take three rugs each (turn outs on one, stable rugs on the other - pony is on livery so the different options need to be easily accessible for yard staff), and it sounds like that might be a bit much. Having three rug holders would eat up most of the usable wall space.

I might order one then, if they’re sturdy - if no good for rugs, I can use it for saddle pads.

I use a metal ironing board, the sort with a mesh top. Good for drying rugs, and when dry they are either used again, or folded and put back in bags and stacked. The board can be folded and leaned against the wall too.
