Rug Labelling

Just got Mick a new rug, and I think everyone else may get the same rug - same colour etc. I want to label it without ruining the rug. I wrote on the material label provided on the inside shoulder part of the rug. The ink spread and you can't see the name now! Anyway I need something a bit more obvious. Any ideas? Painting on the inside may be the only option (the inside and outside of the rug are dark colours).
Also, does anyone know if a company making plastic tags with names on is still going?

Do you have a laminator? You could easily make your own tag?

i would forget subtlety and stencil your post code on the outside in a bright colour, if you use an oil based paint it could last several washes

Just attach one of the metal name tags used for cats & dogs easily available on e-bay

Thanks everyone. The laminator thing is something I had not thought of - I might give that a go. Sounds like a good one.

May seem a bit cheap and tacky but if you are unable to get hold of a laminator, until then you could make your name tag up and put sellotape over it so it is waterproof and sellotape it to the ring of a key ring and attatch it onto your rug. Works the same as having it laminated just a bit cheaper.

Yes that sounds good too - As long as it keeps my rug from other's hands I will be happy!!
I love the keyring idea.
