Can anyone recommend a make that might fit Prince? I'm used to large shouldered ID's, Cobs and Fjords so all my rugs are Fal's, Mark Todds or JHL's and they just don't seem to fit Prince all that well.

I bought a new Fal chieftan in 6' and it was about 3" too long and low round the shoulders/neck so i'm reluctant to order a smaller size encase the sholders are the same.

Also got a 6'3 Mark Todd which is a bit long and a bit big round the shoulders - again it sits low round the neck.

He's currently wearing a 6'3 JHL and it's a bit long and low round the shoulders even done up at its tightest, it also slips a bit. It's started rubbing his shoulders. (He has a 6' JHL cooler which is about the right length).

I've also tried him in Masta's which rubbed his shoulders - the 6' was about the right length.

I also bought a cheap 6' rug off ebay which was the right length but didn't fit all that well round the shoulders - didn't have time to check if it would actually rub as it got ripped to shreds the first day!!!

I need something pretty hardy as with three youngsters they rip rugs a lot - always found the Fals stand up to this the most!

At the moment i need a rain sheet or very LW as he's not clipped but gets cold easily - again thats why i like Fal's as they do the 40g. 100g would be ok as i'm thinking of giving him a small clip.

Any suggetsions?

My overheight (15.1 at least) Connie has a narrow shoulders and a cook's bottom. My other horse is a big shouldered/ deep chested warmblood who wears fal/MT, and these are too big at the neck for the Connie.

He wears original (not the Y necks) shape horseware and it does not rub or pull back on his shoulders. He isn't a rug trasher - he used to be a show pony and appears to adore fussing in all respects!

Most of his rugs are amigos and apart from the medium stable rug, they are good value. The stable rug has a poor exterior and is very absorbent. The lw turnout is available in 600 and 1200 dernier. I've got the 1200 and think it does a good job.

I've just got him a bucas to replace the amigo medium stable. It appears to fit really well, but he hasn't worn it yet.

I think the amigo are smaller than the rambo, so you will need to vary the size depending on which you get.

Thank you that helps a lot - i was thinking of trying the amigo's and bucas' so i'll order some and see how we go

Horsewares definitely

Interesting about the Derby House ones thanks - they seem to have a lot on special offer. My Aimgo's should arrive today so i'm relaly hopin gone fits as i feel guilty that the one he has is pulling on his shoulders

Thanks everyone. Just got the Aimgo's through and they seem to fit so fingers corssed it hasn't moved or anything when i get him in later!!! He's kind of between the 6' and the 6'3 so i've kept the 6'3 as he's only 5 so he might fill out a bit anyway. great round the shoulders etc it's just an inch or so long on his bum. The 6' was a bit snug round his whithers and only just long enough so have sent that back
