Rug or not?

So barry has just gotten over rain scald and it’s going to rain next 2 days but be up to 20 degrees
Not sure if I should put a no fill on him? Feel like it’s way to warm but he might get rain rot again?

I wouldn't rug. That would provide exactly the right conditions for a fungal infection to thrive

They get rain scald when the skin is warm and wet and can’t breathe normally- last thing you want is to put a rug on it

No rug. Rain isn’t the issue. It’s the environment underneath the rug that’s breeds rain scald. Warm and damp. With no rug he will dry naturally

I’ve taken my mares fly rug off today in the hope of rain coming in tomorrow. She hates getting wet but it’s better for her than the alternative!
