Rug recommendations for a huge wide neck??

Anyone please? I have a half shire and even the Premier Equine rugs are too tight

I've found weatherbeetas are the best fit for his neck

Most of the Fal-Pros are good - my Clydie cross has them! However, not the Chieftan rugs as these are cheaper Chinese made and are not so good.

Buy cheaper rugs and a chest expander and you should save a ton of money. The expanders fit well and cost only a few quid.

I have to say with are cob we found the masts hood to be good big necks, bigger chests and deeper so his belly didn't peak out the bottom

Agreed, Masta necks are big, had one for out Tb...he could have got his neck in it twice it was so big!

An Amigo XL rug (I don't think they do the 'Rambo' version anymore.) I ordered an Amigo XL neck cover in size extra-large and it's huge. The rug fits great too. High recommend, plus it's a tough 1200D and very waterproof too.

I find the kingshead rugs generous in the neck department.......think you can still get them!?

You guys are correct they don't make the Rambo xl any more, but do it in the Amigo instead. We have a massive id mare and its brill on her, she has the Rambo xl in a heavy and lightweight, (lasted 5 years, still look amazing) and now an Amigo in a medium. Its a good fabric but not as good as the Rambo's. Ours are out 24/7 and have never has rubs.

Horseware, please bring back the Rambo in the xl!! We will pay!!

Big horse shop again! I have a v chunky cob and struggle to find rugs big enough to fit her shoulders, the big horse shop one I ordered fits brilliantly! Except the neck which is massive! She's got a chunky neck but obv not chunky enough - going to have to move the velcro. THey are designed for shires/ clydies etc and the woman who owns(?) it is so helpful - asked her loads of questions and she spent 5/10 mins talking me through stuff.

Do they still make the extra size necks ? I have some with the extra 3'' size and they are lovely.

Big Horse shop.Far too small for my cob and for a Shire mare. Wouldn't refund either. Won't be using them again. Weatherbeeta seem to be more generous in size than them.
