as the title says I'm trying to find rugs that fit a 13h Dartmoor pony.
all the ones Ive tried so far seem to be too generous in the chest and hang too low.
Ive adjusted the only two she has for now but wondered if anyone has solved this problem by using a particular brand.
(I'm on a budget so not too expensive shes in a 5'6-9)

I've found all the Horsewear rhino and rambo wugs (half neck) and plus (full neck) (i.e the ones with the v-clip fronts) far too tight for my horses, so should fit well on narrow horses. The full/half neck should lift them up and big and stop the gapping.

unfortunatly they're not cheap

so have a look on ebay for second hand.

I have just bought a full neck weatherbeater for my slim line horse and it fits well.Amigo rugs are quite good also.
If you are at a yard can you not try someones elses rug for fit ?At least then you will know what brand to go for.

Counldn't have put it better myself!! My old girl (RIP) wore Rhino Pony Turnout Wug and it fittied beautifully, for the lightweight turnout, Amigo. Was such a god send to find these, i used to sew darts into the shoulders of all her rugs previously!!
