I detest rugs and rug shopping but realistically we have no natural shelter whatsoever so my horse needs a rug in winter. Can anyone recommend a rug that is:

* Standard neck
* Turnout
* preferably 1200 denier
* 100g or less
* 6"3' size

bonus points cheap as possible and/or fun pattern and/or turquoise or a variation thereof

Thank you

Rhino or Rambo. One is a reasonable amount, the other eye wateringly expensive. Both use the liner system which are easy to wash and dry overnight. (I’m old fashioned and put stable rugs on my two at night ?)

Have a look at Hope Valley to see if they have any deals on either.

Maxima Equestrian fulfil your criteria I think. All their turnouts are 1200 denier, they do no fill and 100g, they have some fun patterns and are reasonably priced for the quality - you should get a no fill standard neck for under £50 with free delivery if you are in mainland UK.

You get what you pay for - for turn out (and most others) I but Horseware Rambo or Rhino. For lightweight turnout their heavier denier Amigo is fab

Last year I bought Rex a 50g "Gallop" rug...it was cheap (around £35 iirc) so I wasn't expecting great things....however I was really pleased with it and would definitely by that brand again :)
