I have a rug that was washed and reproofed not too long ago, however it's now merely showerproof, meaning it can cope with persistent drizzle but any torrential rain just pushes its way right through it. Given that the rug has already been treated with a wash-in reproofer, I thought I might have some better luck with a more direct application. Products I've been looking at are:
Gold Label Waterproof Wax
Requisite Waterproofing Wax
Any spray on proofer that people have found to have worked well
I've also heard of some people using less conventional treatments like tent reproofers and Thompson's Waterseal with success - anyone on here had good results? I'm willing to try anything so long as it's cheap and reliable!
