Last winter my horse wasn't being ridden and so it shamefully went un noticed til he got quite sore. I was changing rugs often but he always wore a quilted bib so I put it down to that.
I've noticed the hair coming out and a balding patch again now and he's not wearing the bib.
All rugs are satin lined and I try to buy full necks with no seam over the wither.
He has a good chunck of white mane/hair over his wither so I think this has always been a problem.
Mark Todd turnouts seem to be ok having the extra section over the wither. Could do with a heavy stable rug but looking at £100 ish for a MT combo.
Any suggestions?
