My lovely girl has recently accumulated little bare patches on her shoulders, i'm asssuming they are caused by her rug.
So i have put a anti rub vest on and also used Megatrek hair regrowth for the past couple of weeks to grow back the rubbed hair.
But its hardly grown back, does anybody else have any useful suggestions/tips to help with her hair regrowth?

Do you use the same rug all the time. I have had mine totally go when I changed yard and they actually change the rugs am and pm.

When I got my little thoroughbred she had totally bare patches on her shoulders from rug rubs. I have been using a lycra vest underneath her stable and outdoor rugs and it has now come back beautifully but it did take a few weeks. It could be that you need to give it a while longer?

I don't use the same rugs all the time, she has one lightweight in the day and then an extra layer at night. I have washed the rugs cause i didn't know whether it was the grease (nice) from her shoulders that may of caused the rubbing in the first place.

the grease does not help, I found it takes a couple of weeks to grow back too. I like the bossy bibs anti rug rub bib but you have to keep it clean i.e. no grease otherwise it just gets worse again

i use mark todd rugs and sometimes leave it on most of the day and my horses never get any rub marks at all also they never move out of place even if they roll.

Bossy bibs are the only thing that stopped rug rubs on my boy. I tried so many others to no avail. He has gone through two winters with no hair loss. Tried different rugs as well.
