Both girls have 2x Shires no fill rugs, all rugs went for wash and repair and now everything seems slightly smaller? It could be that everyone has a little extra timber, but either way I need rug help.

The smaller pony isn't an issue, tried big pony's rug on her and it's a perfect fit. I don't think big pony's rug needs to be any longer, it just needs to be wider at the front.

Currently 13.2 New Forest is in a 5ft6 Shires Tempest, any recommendations for a no fill rug with good shoulder width at the front?

Shires Tempest and Typhoon rugs are only good for finer types, you need a Shires Highlander if yours is chunky! Brilliant rugs!

Swish are also good although mine is 2 years old and has already had a number of repairs for stitching coming away!

Rug update: ordered a Shires Highlander in 5ft6, too small for the 13.2 but okay on the 12.2, ended up putting the 13.2 in an old 5ft6 Weatherbeeta which fits well.

I’d upload pictures but since updating my phone I can’t resize to post!

My draft is claiming his rugs shrank in the wash too. Hmmmmm.

I do like big horse shop on my chunky cobs. Oddly nothing fits the draft well, I've tried them all. He's deep as hell and wide at the belly but not the top, kind of pear shaped . I have to use draft rugs with necks to stop them slipping behind his wither.

There is definitely some waistline issues at the moment! Everyone is being bought back into a little work now to try and keep on top of it!
