what is the method to measure the size of a horse-rug ?

Measure from from the centre of the horse's chest (where the chest buckles would be) in a straight line to where a rug would end on the horse's hindquarters.

mmm.....do I secure the zero reading end of the tape to the centre chest point, then lead tape along centre underside of body to end at horses backside and the tape reading at this point is the rug size?

You measure along the side as if you were doing a trace clip of that makes sense.

so.....final outcome is a new 5 feet 3 inches winter rug for sale at good discount....it is posted in regions sub forum under Scotland.
