So a change in yards means I'm in need of a big trunk/storage box thing for rugs, and general assorted pony stuff. Wondered if anyone had suggestions?
I've found something on the B&Q website which is for storing garden soft furnishings and wonders if that'd work. It doesn't necessarily have to be watertight as it will be in a barn.
Anyone bought anything similar recently?

If there is room on the yard try getting an old chest freezer. You can pick them up for free & there's loads of space in them & they're rat proof. Additionally you can pack the rugs individually in the storage bags that you can seal & vacuum out all the air. That way you'll get even more in.

Yes, I've got one of those garden storage chests. It's a big one so I can fit a lot of stuff in - I actually keep feed in it in two black dustbins and there is still room for other stuff. We sealed all the sides with that foam stuff that dries hard ( not a very technical description!!) so vermin don't get in. My one has a proper latch that you can padlock. We have also had to move it once since I bought it and it didn't collapse! I think we bought it at Homebase -about £100.

For best use of space I just have some deep heavy duty shelving so I can stack rugs, boxes etc. on there. Rugs are stacked in sealed bags and then I have those plastic storage boxes for first aid kit, boots, bandages, lunge gear, etc. Feed is just in bins. Wouldn't work at the kind of yard where you would need to be able to lock things away though.

I have one of the plastic garden storage boxes and they're great. Mine was from Lidl and only cost about £25 but that was a few years ago and you have to wait until they have gardening stock in. They're a bit more expensive elsewhere but at least you can get one when you want one.
