I recently purchased a premier equine rug, it was in their sale, i brought my horses usual size but its way too big, at least 2 sizes too big, i have advertised it for sale but im not sure if its worth getting it shortened, it fits fabulously round his front / shoulders and its lovely and deep on him, its just too long :(. Has anyone had one altered before and if so how much did it cost? Would love to keep as it fits everywhere else so well, and its an great quality rug, sadly they dont have any other sizes in the sale that would be right and i couldnt afford one at full price, ideas on what would be best gratefully received :)

You may have problems finding someone to shorten the rug. My wife is a bridle stitcher by trade & she does loads of tack repairs etc but won't touch rugs as they knacker up her awls & needles. She hasn't got an industrial sewing machine, she does hand stitching.
