Carries on creakily
I took all my Rambos turnouts to my local (and really good) rug wash yesterday for their annual clean. The rug wash has been going forever and use the proper nikwax products.
I learned a couple of things as we logged and tagged all the various rugs and their hoods in (13 separate pieces ).
Some people don't like Rambo rugs because they show the dirt more, but that it because they have such a tight weave that the mud sits on the outside rather than getting absorbed into the material.
The rug wash don't spin the turnout rugs as this is really bad for them. They take them out of the machine wet to drip dry. That makes sense, actually, I use my slowest spin which is 400 rpm for turnouts when I've washed them at home to reduce creasing, though there is a no spin option which I must now investigate.
