rug wrecker

Has anyone got a solution to a serious rug wrecker? My gelding prefers his female companion "naked" !
I've tried coating her rug with unpaletable stuff but every time I have to go and pick up the rug from the field, usually with everything still fastened except for one leg strap. I don't want to have to turn them out seperately if possible. Any ideas?

My Gelding has a psasion for mares bottoms and thinks that tail flaps are a bad invention. So he removes them!!

I never have found a cure, I think seperate paddocks might be the only option. Or let girly go naked all the time

Thanks for the reply. I guess I'll be looking for some more electric fencing, although he also has a tendency to pull up the plastic posts and chuck them on the ground if he spots the electric's not on. What a character!

Oh boy your lad sounds a right character!
I would suggest either seperate paddocks or if you really can't or don't want to then maybe a grazing muzzle and then give him extra haylage on a night so that he is getting enough daily intake?
