Rugby Pelham, which mouthpiece?

I would like to use a rugby pelham on my horse for showing. He is normally in an egbutt snaffle and goes nicely in it but I felt a bit odd in a hunter class we did last month so I thought Id try him in one and see how he goes.

I was just wondering which mouthpiece I should try on him, just a normal jointed?

Also if anyone has a spare 5.5 inch (or 6 inch as hes a little inbetween) one I could try him in please PM me

I would recommend a french link version!

I cannot stand single joints and have got rid of all of mine in favour of french links, lozenges and barrels.

Single joint simply doesn't fit a horses mouth IMHO.
