Rugging up ... whens the best time ...

Missy and tommy are both out , Hopefully getting tommy a wee rug this weekend, although really dont plan to be using it for at least another month weather permitting of course . Would like to possibly rug missy up to help keep weight on her for next seasons showing .

What your views on rugging and whens the best time ?

my mares is wearing a light weight at the moment and a fleece when in at night

i like to keep her snuggly as it helps keep weight on etc

My mare is wearing either a summer sheet or skinny fleece at night.

mine wear rugs when they feel cold or if its going to be raining(bey is a wimp and shantih feels the cold now shes super slim)
so they have had rugs on and off the last 3 weeks!

4 of mine are already wearing medium weights, the 5th is unrugged.
i'll pop heavyweight on the 4 when it goes realy nasty, and i might pop a rug on pony number 5 if it gets horribly nasty.
