Okay, I have a 4'9 weatherbeeta fleece for my boy. This is a little tight over his bum (he's dumpy!!) and I can't get the velcro to do up at the front (though I can get the buckles done up...just! )
Tried a 5ft T/O on him, and it fitted, but was a little weeny bit big round his neck, meaning it slipped a little onto his withers.

What would be better? something that fitted very snugly or something with a bit more room for manouver that was a weeny bit wide round the neck??

Oh, and for those who gave a raving report on the Amigo T/O's, how do they fit round the neck??

Amigo t/o are a snug fit around the neck and chest, I had to buy a bigger size for my boy, all his rugs are the same size, this def needed a size bigger!

I had that problem with the Weatherbeetas, so I gave up on them. My wide-shouldered ID X is now in Mark Todds but tbh I wish I would have got the Amigos, she came with two and they fit her fine (but are 6" too big in size). The Weatherbeeta Landa I got her just about velcroed up, but the huge tail flap pulled it down overnight and onto her withers, the velcro came undone and turned in, and the lining at the shoulder darts pulled back and turned the shoulders in. Needless to say Maiden only wore that for one night! As far as I can see from having had a 7' Amigo on my 6'6" horse, the neck looks like it would fit her well, despite the fact that the front isn't adjustable.

I was surprised by the Amigo's. I tried an Amigo bug rug in the summer and it would have cut his blood supply off in his neck but I tried a LW turnout on again amigo and his normal siaze fitted him??? He is ID x TB x Shire so quite a chunky boy.

I have Amigo MW turnouts for my girls, one of whom is pretty chunky in the shoulders, and they fit both of them fine - the necks are just right - maybe it depends on the style of rug with Amigo's?
