I am feeling very proud of myself since I have taught myself to use my mum's sewing machine and repaired all Monty's rugs (he likes to destroy them).

I then washed them in the bath and reproofed them and they are now drying on the balcony.

One problem - my cat (aptly named Wee-Wee

) was sitting on them alot while they were in the living room and, upon washing, it's become clear he's pissed all over one of them.

The washing seems to have made it smell worse

I can't send it away since Monty needs to wear it ASAP as the weather has gone cold. It STINKS!!!!!

I'm presuming that Febreeze is not bad for skin since you can use it on human clothes. Could I use that?!

Any miracle smell removers greatly appreciated!

I've got a rug that smells of cat wee, but it wasn't a cat!

I think it just got damp & wasn't properly aired afterwards. After airing it doesn't smell - ony if it gets damp does it smell!

Don't want Wee-wee to get into trouble!

Wow ro, you have turned into a domestic goddess. Sewing machine proficiency, washing and reproofing rugs, whatever next. Hugs to zoomy and Monty, and hi to Rowena as well.
