Hi
My horse has recently turned into a bit of a rug trasher. He has gone through a fly rug and a light weight turnout in a matter of weeks.
He was in a field with lots of trees, and loved to wander through them, hence lots of rips. I attempted repairs. However, he is now in a different field without the trees to scratch on etc, and he is still ripping/breaking surcingles/buckles etc.
Both rugs were Rhinegold, so possibly a bit cheap? I want to replace with new rugs, but want to make sure they last.
So, recommendations for fly rugs and light weights please. I have seen some on premier equine website, anyone any experiences/recommendations?
