As title suggests guys which turnouts are best for horses with a very narrow chest, she's currently got a horse ware Mio but where it's too roomy in front it slips back.

Have you tried a Horseware Wug? They always worked well on the narrow youngstock I used to have.
Thanks, haven't come across them before, some years she doesn't wear a rug at all, other times only for a few weeks so don't want to buy anything new and expensive but wanted to know a good option to keep an eye out for 2nd hand on Facebook x

The Maxima Equestrian turnouts are fab for narrow chested horses and ponies as they have fully adjustable front fastenings so you can tighten them up to get a snug fit at the chest, which stops the rug from slipping back. (Whereas Mios have no adjustability at all). They are all 1200 denier and reasonably priced, plus they have a 20% off at the moment - full details on their FB page.

I have a John Whittaker turnout rug which has adjustable buckles attached to the front clips. Might be a good option, as you could change the size of the front?

I have just bought 2 gallop trojan 100g turnouts for my tbs. They are very cheap and may not last long but they do have buckle straps on the front which fit mine quite well done up on the tightest hole.

After trying on many second-hand rugs today, the amigo mio came up bigger at the front than one that was just amigo, also found that weatherbeeta comes up smaller at the neck like the amigo.
Shires seemed to be larger all round so I wouldn't go for one of those for a narrow chested horse.

I am a weatherbeeta fan and rather oddly I have the widest horse in the country and one of the narrowest and the rugs are great on both the narrower horse has a much smaller rug than the wide one even though to look at the narrow horse is taller and longer so I think they are flexable enough to fit around the horse as needed if that makes sense.
