When will it ever stop raining?????!!!!!!

Competitions are being cancelled constantly because of the weather, the fields are like winter, horse constantly muddy and still having a rug on overnight - in July!!!! Madness!!!

Is anyone having any summery weather???!!!!

not even a drop of sunshine ! my horse is rugged up day and night with a neck cover ! (he shows so dont want him going fluffy) but i refuse to bring him in ! fields are wet but we have good drainage and are quite sandy as we are right by the beach !
we currently have to school on the beach (what a laugh that is) and riding paddock is too slippy !

You must be joking! The onlysunny weather I've had was last week when I was on holiday in Majorca!!!!!

I am not using rugs but am bringing in at night to give the field a chance to survive their big feet.

If I do leave out over night and it is below 10, will pop on a summer turnout if it is wet.

Chancer is almost all brown rather than skewbald, tail and feather coated with oil and mud - and it is going to be several hours work to get him ready for showing on the 15th.

I checked out the temperature last night on our outdoor thermometer and it was 12C at 9.00pm, that is exactly the same temperature that it was on New Years Day this year

So yes, my wimpy TB has his heavyweight Rambo on at night at the moment but mine live out 24/7 whatever the weather and just get rugged accordingly

mines rugged up in a lightweight rug but he is on boxrest so not doing much and feels the cold and is a wimpy TB too! one im looking after hasnt had a rug on since march time! She as hard as anils but hasnt grown a particulary(SP) long coat and doesnt seat when i ride her!

Our weathers been just as bad unfortunately. Although todays a bit weird - its really muggy warm and the suns out right now but there's very dark clouds hanging about! It was very thundery yesterday - I had to keep rushing outside to check there wasnt any lightning about or I would had to bring all the horses in pronto!

Mine have also been rugged up. So crap. Our event isnt cancelled this wkend (RC area SJ qualifiers) but its probably going to be very very wet! But luckily my horses actually go ok in the wet so Im secretly quite pleased..... he he he!

Our welshie has a light rug on, he gets rain scald in really wet weather. Our field is quite sandy and drains well so we are lucky, some of the fields around here have turned into lakes!!
The other 3 neds are doing ok without rugs. Most of our local shows had been rained off. Im thinking of buying a boat to getto work!

I started with light weights but the rain went straight through and they were still cold (two fat hairy cobs!!!) Anyway, they both have a medium wight on now and I try and take it off most mornings. They were both cold when I got their yesterday evening so I've left them rugged today. I give up! Mine have to live out and I'm worried about hacking off the farmer so keep moving the elec fence which means they're ending up with more grass and I need it to be dry so we can get them both back on starvation rations!!!

our weather has been awful, it's rained every day for as long as I can remember! Our fields are in a terrible state, our sand school seems to spend most of it's time flooded too. Both horses are rugged day and night and stabled at night. It's been so bad we've had to keep them in during the day a few times. Mine hate the bad weather even more than I do!
