maybe try getting your pony an anti-rub vest this should stop the rugs from rubbing most tack shops should do them.

i have just bought one for my horse its sort of a silky material.

hope this helps

Get a bossy bib! www.bossybibs.co.uk just under £20 inc deliver. My boy had rubbed all hair off and looked unsightly. Bossy Bibs guarantee 2wks and you will have hair regrowth. I would say it took about 3wks but they are marvellous. Delivery was turnaround as well. Money well spent and you have have something that will last.

They sometimes have 2nds, which means they have been tried on another horse. 2nds are £11.00 plus P & P

They are good because they are lightweight, do the job and wash and dry in no time

I sell the Bossy's Bibs here in North America and they are beyond fabulous ...

People that bought one from me last year - the whole barn buys 15-20 from me this year once they see how well they work. As people get new horses in, they continue to buy them in different sizes or colours

They work fabulously well - within 9-10 days you can start to see stubble growing back on the rub, within 2-3 weeks you see actual hair growing back and in 4-6 weeks, you cannot even tell where the original rub was

I also have some clients that tell me 3-4 years later, the Bossy's Bibs look as good as new - they wash well, return to memory without any sagging or stretching and short of another horse yanking them out from underneath his buddies blanket and playing tug of war with them, they virtually last forever and we all know how difficult that is - to find ANYTHING to do with horses that last longer than a week or so!

Love them. My clients love them even more and I am SO grateful that I came across them 4+ years ago and was given the opportunity to sell them in Canada and the USA ...

oh thanks for that i think i will prob but the bossy bib sounds good if i was to get cool white is that still effective as any of the other ones? thanks for your help x
