So seein as requisite rugs seemed a no no, I have found a shires tempest 180 on sale. My horse is a welsh d. What are sizing like. Should i go up a size please ? X
Every shires rug i've had I have a shires fleece, tempest combo fly rug and i'm going to get a tempest light weight.
They fit really nicely, they don't rub and I have a 15.0hh TB mare. She wears a 6ft and they are great value for money and I have never had any problems with the rugs. I think there great value for money and are well made
They are lovely rugs , fit well, you should not need to go up a size as they are quite a generous fit and you would find the neck would come up to big on a larger size!
I've just bought our 3rd Shires rug. Now have a Stormcheeta and 2 Typhoons- all for different horses of very different builds. One Typhoon is on a chunky big shouldered NF type, the other is on a skinny old 13hh pony. Because of the range of chest expansion settings (couldn't think of how to describe it!) they've fitted all of them. Last new rug 13hh pony had was torn within 2 days, this one has lasted a week so far with no rips, tears or anything. Definitely value for money.
Not sure what size you need, but Hope Valley Saddlery have offers on quite often. Both the Typhoons were under £50.
