Does anyone know of a good turnout rug that does not rub the shoulders? Looking to buy a new one and wanting something middle weight for a high withered TB. Thanks!
FAL. i have the big Goliath ones... i use them every winter, for months and months, and they only come off when i ride the horses. they live in them 24/7, even if i bring the horses in. i've never had one rub, ever, not once, on about 5 different horses, over about 8 years. i don't put anything under them, and they're toasty warm, too. i have a very high-withered warmblood x tb and he's never been rubbed at all.
try their middle-weight one maybe?
Premier Equine or the "old" style Weatherbeetas, fit my huge shouldered cob with no problems.
Heard of lots of people having trouble with the "new" Freestyle WB rugs...I wonder if that's why WB have bought back the old style Landa with the shoulder gussets???
See Horseware rubs my horse I hate the location of the front straps as I think it encourages them to move backwards on a high withered horse. I was just thinking about what i would get the other day!
My horse get rubbed by everything cannot even wear a fly sheet. In the winter I have him in 2 shoulder protectors but think I will try a bossys bib as pretty cheap.
