Rugs with 'shiny' linings - anyone know any?

Following on from 'minimising hair growth', my mare is very sensitive skinned, unless her rugs have 'shiny' nylon linings, she twitches as if she is covered in flies - this gets her very hot which compounds the problem.

I have a couple of weatherbeeta stable rugs which are great, although very thick - does anyone know of any with nylon linings which are light / medium weight? She has big shoulders and neck, so getting them to fit there is a problem.

I also need a medium weight turnout with the same lining - when I first got her and she was poor, she had a Rambo which was great, but now that will not go anywhere near her shoulders and neck. Anyone got any recommendations?

Hopefully the pic will give some idea of size - excuse the hairy front leg, this was taken after she kicked the yard owner while clipping, and the last leg was never finished!

Thanks again!

Fal rugs (not the slumberdown ones) are great for shiny linings and big shoulders. Or buy a rambo a size bigger!

My hyper sensitive chestnut has fal rugs and they dont rub at all. She also has a lighter weight rambo which she borrows from a hairy one in the Autumn as hairy one doesnt need it till it gets cold!

I also have a horse with little shoulder and the fals are too roomy. So they seem to be designed for more macho beasties!

A lot of rugs seem to be nylon lined these days (thankfully!), not so much stable rugs though. I buy a size bigger to fit Chex large chest and neck, just gives him a bit more room.

I agree with the above, Fals are great - sometimes pricey, but so worth it - my boy's a similar build to your mare (whois gorgeous, may i add

) and has a lovely medium weight outdoor and stable rug from fal.
Makes his coat really shiny too!

Fal rugs are great but if you are on a budget then i recommend Premier Equine (they sell on internet & through ads in H&H) My 2 Irish show cobs have a full selection of their rugs-From lightweight (£40) to the fantastic 400gram combo 1680D Stormbuster cost only £99 and its fab on big chests- also very deep-we call it his mobile field shelter!!! Everything is nylon lined and always next day delivery

The Rhino rugs have a shiny nylon lining and give a great shine to the coat! I gather the Rambo and Amigo have the same and the Rambo defintely comes in deeper and larger sizes to accomodate cobs and draught horses.
