Hi All,

I have bought around 600-700 pounds worth of new rugs for my horse

Do you put your postcode onto your rugs with gloss paint?

I am aware there are a lot of stables loosing rugs like hotcakes at the moment so do you think this is a good idea, I just feel criminal doing it to my new rugs but if they are not stolen I feel I should.

Your thoughts would be great.

Thanks,
Kelly

I just slapped on whatever gloss I had lying around the place, lasted for years, the rugs fell to bits before the paint died.:)

so you both feel its a good idea to identify your rugs???

Yes, several reasons.

Obviously the theft deterrent, ID if horse escapes and it avoids yard mix-ups too (the "Oh sorry, I thought that was my rug" thing)

I used to put a contact number on there too. If a horse goes walkabouts and is found, a postal code alone isn't actually a huge amount of help:(
