I'm after a few new rugs for my mare.
She's a cob x wb and has very broad shoulders and I'm finding a lot of the rugs I have bought rub out her shoulders and mane.
Any ideas on a rug brand which will be a better shape for her? I've tried so many different types, now just after opinions.
A Premier equine fly rug rubbed her shoulders out within days and I found masta and rhinegold also rubbed her shoulders out, along with her mane.

I always used either Shires, Mark Todd or JHL rugs on my wide fronted warmblood. If you are struggling with rubs I would recommend using a shoulder guard under the rug, it makes a huge difference. I always use them to prevent rug rubs even if the rug is a good fit, although I have never used one under a fly rug.

Ruggles are brilliant and not overly expensive either. The outer fabric is much stronger than a lot of the expensive ones.

I swear by Amigo Mio rugs for my big shouldered boy. They wash well and are not massively expensive as the lower end of the Amigo range. Just finished 1 winter with them and they held up fine. They also don't seem to slip about on him which I found some rugs a nightmare for

I'm having similar issues as my boy has very big chest and neck. I've been researching and it looks like Amigo XL is a good choice. Great for larger horses and not silly money either.

Just a little heads up I bought a amigo xl hero rug and it is utterly massive! It swamped my heavy weight cob and would have fitted the next size down so worth keeping the receipt to exchange just in case. Beautiful rug though!!

Thanks, that's worth knowing. I was toying between two sizes so I will choose the smaller of the two. Other rugs sit half way up his neck, so I'm hoping this won't be the case with Amigo XL.

The neck was huge, he's about 600kg and all shoulder & neck, very heavy set. it also reached his knees bless him :-) to give an idea rhinegold a in the same size won't even do up on the largest setting
