I thought I was pretty laid back and rule free....but I think I have OCD 
I think I do almost every one of these, though do break some - rarely ride with gloves and do have bare arms in suitable weather (I don't think this is a good idea, but do it anyway!!). I never wind the headcollar rope up properly, despite it being part of my 'upbringing') as I always think it's easier to get the headcollar on quickly without the additional time (2 seconds lol) to undo the rope in an emergency.
One of my 'rules' is the same as some others have mentioned - reins done up with the buckle.....on the left for me - I always understood that was 'correct' - help, have I been wrong for all these (many) years?
