Rumour has it.....

Alex is cooking for the moment MDM, while she thinks about her life. she hasnt gone to another yard.
as for being rude if we were having a taking the piss conversation i would know the difference but it might have escaped some of your notices that there is a factin here who like to make a pont of being the most 'knowing' here and i cant be bothereed with it.
as has been pointed out to me being tongue in cheek on a forum only works if it is obvious to everyone that you are doing it.

Is this the next best thing though, finishing your sentences with

you can say that about Tonto kerilli as i think that even Bettina would agree with you now, although she might not put it quite like that.

and i should think the fact that it is allegedly somewhat hard to keep parkmore ed right that is more likely to devalue him than AN. werent the um 'discussions' in hong kong nearly all pertaining to th treatment of that horse?
as for Internet he was a fab horse but as someone else said i believe he turmed out to be almost infertile which was a shame.

i dont think its easy to ride any3 or 4 star horse after it has been with a top rider usually for quite a long time.many top horses would have been in the same yard for years.they, dont always seem to adjust to change of rider, enviornment and training style.iknow there are exceptions too.

i am not gong to be drawn into a slanging match with you baydale because obviously you havent been involved in certain threads i have commented on recently. but if it is a fight you want do say so because then i will know where i am. at the moment i am not sure why you feel the need to make an issue.

steady up everyone.after this is all about everyone giving opinions.it doesnt mean everybody has to agree.its because everyone is different that makes it interesting.it would be so boring if we were all the same

Gosh, I only went to the fridge for another glass of wine and it's gone mad in here

. Not really the norm for a post buried on the second page in CR

And the moral of the story is..... drink less

Getting back to the subject in hand, I can confirm the 2012 gold medal dead cert D Day has been bought by an Italian junior and might be spotted at a junior europeans between now and 2012 when he's going to single-handedly put Italy back at the top of the eventing tree

Bloomin heck Lu, obviously my attempt at being flippant and witty fell flat on its face.

I shall leave now before I accidentally upset you any more.

I'm with Gamebird, in the kitchen quaffing wine if anyone wants me.

Internet went to Canada, I believe he was found to have fertility probs then. Shame, I would have loved to use him on our pony mare.

[/ QUOTE ]

He went to a Canadian amateur rider. They did not pay £500k but they did pay money that would get you a nice house in a nice area or a small flat in London.;) She's a lovely person and a nice rider but she married well, as they say, and suddenly the pressure was on. I think it got to everyone. The horse fell out of form quite dramatically. then was with a pro for a bit but then the decision was made to sell him. He went to Jimmy Woffards and then was sold out west. He did well at a 2* last year (sorry, don't have the link but will look) so perhaps he's back on track.

As to the infertility, I have no proof either way. I do know the plan was never to stand him whilst his original buyer was riding him and I don't think they tried very hard after that. As far as I know he's still entire (or at least was at Jimmy's), which actually seems an odd choice to me if he is infertile as why not make life easier by gelding him? I know there is at least one foal but I don't even know where it is now.

And back to original program . . .

thanks TarrSteps, any info on that horse was interesting to me, a nice blast from the past to make me smile on this snowy eve

Don't worry, he's not a 4* luminary, just a nice 2* horse I was very fond of who I just sold

Crikey t_e you're living dangerously in here tonight. Flippancy is apparently not well accepted at the moment (see earlier posts....)

Most of us come on here for a bit of chat to pass the evening away in a lighthearted way after a long day at work. No offence is intended.

Maybe it would be better in the first instance to assume that your fellow HHOers are having a bit of fun rather than jumping to the worst conclusion.

No offence is meant - honestly.

I'm pretty sure the one or two foals internet produced were breed at the West Kington Stud and were owned by Carol Mortimer (sp) who writes for H&H. Think one may of been out of one of Janes old 4* mares.

How funny to look back at this especially as Flying Machine has done very well with Piggy.

Just been reading through all of this - presume this was established since, but Red Baron is over here in Ireland and has been for a while. He was competing at Camphire at the weekend.

woah this post has come back from the dead! Just look what this new fangled forum can do! :) I would like to know why people aren't throwing all their 4* horses at Mark Todd if I had something even half reasonable I would pick him as jockey every time :)

Perhaps MT is a bit picky to who, sorry, WHAT he rides ;)
