Right, people, I need some help here!

The yard that I've been at for 6 months, at livery and also working unofficially, have just asked me to be their assistant yard manager!!! Eeek!

I have worked on yards for years, and have my grooms cert etc.

I love the yard, the horses, and the people - but I'm scared that I won't be up to the task (thank god it's only assistant, and there's someone else to go to when I'm stuck!).

I'm not looking for a pep talk - you are all too good at those, and obviously don't need the practice; I am looking for advice - any hints, tips, book recommends, websites, etc.
Anything!

Thanks in advance! :D

My only advise would be to carry on being the person you are! Because they wouldnt have asked you if they didnt think you could do it!!

Best of Luck!

I would like to add that this yard has 60 - yes, 60 horses. Admittedly most are out at grass thankfully.

Thank you very much Clippity, very kind and I hope you are right!

And Fella counts as at least 2 horses... maybe 3 on some days! Tehehe!
He made friends with Blue today, they were talking to each other nicely. It was very sweet.
Don't have any practical advice, but I'm sure you will do fabby.
If you ever need a hand and I'm about, just ask!

I do this at the minute :)
As long as you would be in a position to go back as a livery with no hard feelings if you felt things were not working out for you, then go for it :)
