Running cost of Isuzu Trooper 3.0

Hi
Can anyone tell me the running costs of a Isuzu Trooper 3.0. How many Miles per gallon? how much to insure? and how much is the road tax and servicing?
Looking into getting a 4x4, the isuzu looks affordable to buy but wondering if the other costs are to high.

ours is a 1992 2.8 turbo, so nearly a 3 litre and it does 24 miles a gallon around town, will get to about 30 a gallon on a long journey.

Its great fun, and its a good car.

My Oh has the 3.2 V6 petrol. He gets 16 mile per gallon. Cost approx £600 to insure (a 35 year old with lots of accidents, don't ask). Not sure about road tax or servicing (he services it or not, himself).

It is a good car, and quite sturdy, it’s been off roading many times and still going strong.
 
We used to have a 3.1TD isuzu trooper duty, we sold her when we didn't require a 4x4 (and instantly regretted it!) We've now gone back to the 4x4 option and instanty decided we'd get another isuzu! We got a cheap 1993 3.1TD citation and she's great!! Braked towing limit is 3.3 tonnes. MPG in comparison with other 4x4's is no different really! She costs £32 month insurance but that includes business use AND breakdown and voluntary excess £200. Because she's registered before march 2001 any 4x4 above 1.6? litre (so any 4x4!!) is £190 for the year (as at this date!).

Mine's a 3.5 petrol, 18 mpg, insurance about £350 fully comp, road tax standard price and servicing my husband does it and it six years it's only had a new starter motor, 2 sets brakepads and tyres are about £60 each. Hubby does service it costs around £50 and is really easy, a garage would probably charge £150-200. Hope this helps
 
Had my Suzi Trooper nearly 5 years now and a fab car, wouldnt swap for anythng else. Its a 3.1 turbo diesel, diesel cheaper to run. Use for towing and believe me tows effortlessly 2 big 16hh horses, good on diesel and hubby is an RAC man so he looks after her. Will be a very sad day when she no longer wants to play! Also use her for my rugwashing business, have fitted 36 horse rugs at once in her. shes a proper workhorse! Absolutely ace!!!!
 
not sure how old this thread is but i am going to look at a isuzu trooper 3.0 this afternoon so found this in the search for reviews etc. anyone else have anything to add about these cars? im excited but nervous as hell!!!
 
If you have your heart set on one, try to find a commercial one (van) I had a 02 Plate 3.0TD commercial SWB that towed like a dream!
The insurance and and tax (if it comes under the new tax bands - 02 onwards) is cheaper for commercials :)

I loved mine but I used it for towing and day to day doing at least 400miles per week and it was costing me over £500 per month in fuel.. worked out cheaper to get a lorry!
