I've been trying to find out what is a normal response to the test vets do when they run a pen either side of a horse's spine and there is conflicting advice on the web (to be expected I guess!). I did this on two horses this morning and both dipped their backs very slightly and you could see their muscles twitching. Is that normal? What is an abnormal response?
