Does anyone do this with their horse?
I ended up doing it yesterday whilst waiting for the vet! my mare had colic again, very mild, just a bit of tummy ache, she was very happy while being walked around but wanted to lay down when we stopped!
so I took her for a walk whilst waiting an hour for the vet! she doesn't do walk at the best of times and she literally wouldnt stop trotting so I was running along side her! and it was actually really fun! she loved it, her ears where pricking forward the whole time and every time I needed to slow down she kept breaking back into trot, so I'm thinking she'd be a good personal trainer for me, coz I'm not much of a runner!! Plus now she's older (27) I think its a good way to keep her fit without worrying about riding her too much
