Well we did it!
Did just over 3.5k with him - didn't put a foot wrong the entire way round. The only slight issue was when he decided he was going to follow my path round a puddle, and forgot how wide he was and pushed me into the edge of a potato field which was about 18" deep which was abit of a shock to the system! Wish I had taken a photo as his expression was classic, looking around as if he wasn't with me
Certainly makes me run a bit quicker on the bits I ran, but he was a total gem. Now he's got the idea, the next time might be a bit more interesting though *lol*
He wasn't hugely tired - I was!
And despite trying to mug me for my lucozade on the way round, it clearly was still thirsty work:
