An elderly wmp, that I feed has strted with a runny bum the last few days.

Nothing in his feed has changed, so just wondering if anyone has any home made remedys for a runny tum.

Try adding carob flour to his feed. It usually does the trick

gails you answered your own question!!! if you have added bran the last few days then that is probably the answer. get him some pre/pro biotics to add to his feed and leave out the bran might take him 7 to 10 days to get back to normal, if worried talk to your vet. and ad lib hay or haylage whatever he is used to.

I've started adding Yea Sacc for my old Arab - he's always been a little runny for the last 20 years. It has firmed him up nicley. I got a bag from Ebay for £12.

Its only wet bran that makes them looser. Dry bran helps stop it. You need to allow 3 - 4 days at least for dry bran to have an effect. It works on my lad who has a tendnancy to get a bit loose. Pink powder or similar also helps - but takes a month or so to be effective.

It seems a lot of neds are getting a bit runny at the mo. Perhaps something to do with snow related changes?

like 'ofcourseyoucan' said Pro-biotics work a treat but take a while to get going. If its been going on a few days now it might be worth calling the vet out just to check theres nothing more serious going on!
