Runny eyes?

Tont's eyes are constantly running, all year round. He is completely healthy in every other way.

Is there anything I can do to stop this? I wipe his eyes with a damp cotton wool pad daily, but it seems to make them run even more

I sympathise with Tont. Mine are just the same. :-( I have all-the-year-round allergies.

Maybe his tear ducts are blocked. Get the vet out he will put some florescent green dye in his eyes, if it doesn't run out of his nose he has blocked tear ducts. They just incert a thin tube and flush through with saline.

My mare has runny eyes all year round too. The last time she had her vaccination I asked the vet about them and he checked them and she said they looked normal.

if they are gungy try golden eye ointment from the chemists, cleared my horses weepy eyes in 5 days

My horse too has permanently runny eyes, not badly but he's always got a small build up in the corner of his eye!
