Hi
My 19 year old ID has had a runny nose for the past couple of weeks on and off. I first noticed a small pool of snot (sorry!) outside the gate of his stable where he stands with his head over - it had obviously run out whilst he was standing there at some point. This morning I went to tack him up and quite a bit of runny, light green, non-smelly snot ran out of this same nostril again - it is only in one nostril.
We had the dentist this week for his regular rasping/check etc but I didn't think to mention this to him. Dentist is particulary thorough and gave him a full facial/cheek check etc so am confident isn't due to teeth.
Noticed that his hay was quite dusty too and so have started hosing it thoroughly before feeding. Could it be a form of allergy? If so, does anyone have any ideas as to what I can give him to try before getting vets involved?
