Hi all,
After a long winded lameness and subsequent investigation period, my lovely mare has finally been diagnosed with a part ruptured cruciate ligament following an investigative arthroscopy surgery.
During surgery they discovered a 3cm rupture along her cruciate ligament so following this her prognosis has been poor with a 50% chance of being able to be hacked and lightly ridden.
With this in mind, I would be absolutely over the moon to think I could hack the old girl again. Does anyone have any success stories / rehab tips/ tricks/ alternate ideas to try and get my mare to the best version of herself?
2 weeks after her surgery she had PRP treatment straight into her cruciate and has been asked to do 3 months of box rest. She is roughly 5 weeks post-op and sound in walk and fully weight baring.
Any ideas / stories / experiences would be much appreciated - just trying to get as much information on this as possible.
Thanks for reading x
