Hi I've got a quote from equestrian world insurance services for my 3 horses, the policy is from rural insurance.

Does anyone have any experience of them paying out etc??

I've had only good impressions so far from equestrian world, they've been extremely helpful.

I don't have any personal experience of them but they were our competitors when i worked for a rival horse insurance company! i have recently left so I can be 'impartial'! lol. there is, as far as i know, nothing wrong with Rural Insurance Group (RIG) are a big underwriting agency specialising in agricultural insurance and horses are a part of that. I can't remember off hand who their insurers are but you can find out easily if you google Rural. It may be Aviva but i could be wrong.

Anyway, they are a perfectly reputable company they are based in harrogate, N Yorks. I do not know anything about their claims procedures etc but i have not heard anything negative.

Thank you very much for that information. The quote I've received for 3 horses is very reasonable but wanted some reassurance if that is possible about the firm as I hadn't heard of them before. I would need to take out another mortgage to insure 3 with NFU! But also know of the reputation around a certain shall not be named insurer!!
