Has anyone used the company 'rural insurance'? I used the quote checker on horse and hound website which came out with them as one of the companies but I've never heard of them!
They are £10 per month cheaper than the company I currently use for my new horse, same cover. Whilst I don't want to skimp on cover, I don't want to waste money either

They are a large agricultural insurance company based in Harrogate and are perfectly good. Equine insurance is just a small part of what they do really but they will have some equine experts within the company. I am not 100% sure whether they deal with their own claims in house though which, if not can sometimes delay claims a little. However, they will be backed by a large insurer (not sure who it is these days though).

Quick look at their website, think their equine insurance looks to be underwritten by QBE so a very good insurance company. I think rural only deal via insurance brokers though so not quite sure how the H&H quote engine works.
