Just heard he is in intensive care seriously ill, how incredibly sad.
I went to one of his concerts earlier this year and he was far far better than I expected him to be, his voice was stupendous, and he seemed to be a genuinely nice chap..
I hope he recovers from this set back, let's send all the good vibes we can..

I know its dreadfully sad isn't it... Ive never seen him live but he is such a talent and does seem a really lovely man when he is interviewed. I hope he pulls through and makes a good recovery. My thoughts and good vibes go to his family and friends at this time.

Oh no - I actually think he has a wonderful voice

We play his CD's at night in our apartment in France to go to sleep to.

I hope he is able to pull through.

news said he's just finished a new album due out in Nov. - hope he'll pull thru OK but the news said it's a very aggressive tumour which is very sad.

Latest news was they have removed it again, but surely he should have been monitored by scans all through, it does sound as if it won't be easy to stop it's progress, and each time it will be more difficult for him to get back to normal.
The night I went I had driven back from Lancs 300 miles, I felt knackered and if I hadn't paid £45 when his first concert was cancelled I wouldn't have bothered going, it's 45 mins drive to Plymouth but I decided to go.
I was so glad I did. he has improved his recordings over the years but live he was so good.
He walked down through the audience and talked to many of them, and he was really un-assuming.
He has several kids too, so they must be desperately worried too.
I'll be playing his CD in the car the next few days and wishing him well.

Most likely HH and he'd be on pretty strong drugs for it (I suffer from a variation of the same theme - it's do with the pituarity gland) but even now, medical peeps still don't know that much about it

Oh, God, me too.
Last I heard on the news a few moments ago was that he was still in the ICU. Last night someone on the news said that he was sitting up in bed and talking...but you know the news....It changes every two minutes. But I can't fault the BBC at least the news over here isn't as "edited" as much as it was when I was in the USA.
Amazing the arguements it has caused in my family who are still there when I say something has happened and they are getting a completely different story over there than we are over here. I have a son flying jets in Iraq right now...believe me I hope they are getting some of the news right.
Love ya
Suzi
