Does anybody have this energiser? Ive not used it in a couple of years and I can't remember how to connect it, so far I've managed to get it to click so I know it's working but I can't get it to send any currents down the fence line! Help please!

Did you earth it? Have you connected it to the fence?
I wouldn't know where to start to explain. I would imagine there is an earth lead and a fence connection lead and then either the wet cell battery or 12v battery connection leads.
If it's clicking it's obviously connected to the battery, it needs earth to actually zap, though.

Yes the energiser is attached to an earth stake in the ground-does the green clip have to attach to this? Or the fence? I know the red one needs attaching to the fence. The fence line itself is fine as when I've tried it on the mains it works but I need the energiser for another field that the mains can't be used for.

One with an internal battery? Then you don't need to worry about outside (black usually) cables.

Red one clips onto the metal filaments in the fence. Green one clips onto any part of the earthing stake. The deeper the stake the better the current.
