Scary that some people hadn't even heard of rabies and so many didn't realise humans could get it. What planet have they been living on

I couldn’t believe that they hadn’t heard of rabies. I must admit I didn’t know about the other diseases until it was discussed on here some time ago … ideally there should be much more publicity about the whole business of dog imports as so many people seem to think they are ‘ rescuing’ when all they are doing is buying a puppy from abroad rather than uk…

Not everyone had the terrifying rabies adverts at airports and on TV. It's a bit like quicksand or retrieving a frisbee from a pylon, kids these days have no idea of the fear instilled by public inform films/literature!!
