Narrowing down my search of my new horsebox
Has anyone had dealings with either of the above good or bad PLEASE could you PM me so I can do further research would hate to make mistake. Husband has given me a budget and I am trying hard to stick to. Any other companies that any of you lovely people have had dealings with could you please let me know. Only have to transport 2 horses and want a truck type not van. The more I look that hard it gets. Currently drive a Very old layland 45 very nice lorry but getting parts is now almost impossible new. Big Thank you for any help given.

Hi, Im presuming you are buying a newly converted wagon and just wanted to say that I chose to do this a few years ago and really regretted it as for what it cost I could have bought a lovely coach build. I realise this isnt your question but just wanted to mention it as I was never really happy with it, nothing wrong with it but for what I spent, it was really basic.

Thank you for the reply. I am going to Yorkshire tomorrow to look over what these two companies offer with a view to possibly having one of them build me what I want. Any tips would be wonderful. I also want to make sure there were no barge poles about!!
Having had the current truck for 7 years I know what I like and what I wish I could have within the budget OH has set.

No personal experience of either but Minster have a good reputation and I have seen S&L boxes and they look nice. Not sure if you've tried JSW as well but I believe they do some good conversions as well. There is Alexanders but I have no clue what they are like and they seem expensive. I wasn't overly impressed when we looked at possibly getting a 3.5T (before we realised it wasn't big enough to carry 2 horses within the weight)but then that was a fair few years back so they may have improved.

Thank you very much for the information now off to look at the other makers mentioned this is proving to be very time consuming! But fun looking although many makers are well beyond what OH has said I may spend!
