Obviously have no idea but the Equafleece woman at Bramham (they do them too) said they do have a remarkable effect.
 
They are great, but are not a magic cure. I have one for Megan who is scared of thunder/fireworks etc, it really helps her, along with TTouch. But I have used it on my young dog who is anxious and it makes no difference to him.

You need to make sure you use the coat when there is not something scary about to happen or your dog will start to associate the coat with something bad about to happen.

They are much tighter fitting than an equafleece coat, but maybe the sensation of the equafleece ( or a kiddies t shirt) might be enough to help ?

Maybe try a bodywrap first, to see if your dog is comforted by the 'hug' sensation

Those wraps look interesting, will have to do some more Internet research on the options, I neve knew these things existed til half an hour ago! :)

Sorry I didn't mean an equafleece as such but I think equafleece do one of these tops for dogs - that's why I was talking to her about them as I have a stressy type dog. I didn't mean a normal equafleece jumper/t-shirt

I bought an anxiety wrap first, but I found it tricky to get on and my dog got very worried about the leg straps. Both work in a silimar way, I just found the TS much easier to put on and get off without stressing her out. Either should be used in conjunction with TTouch IMHO.
 
One of our dogs is terrified of fireworks. We got a TS a few months ago to give it a try. We began getting Dougal used to wearing it and associating it with good things (treats etc), so that we are ready for fireworks night in November.

A couple of weeks after we got it, there was an unexpected huge fireworks display near where we live. As the bangs and booms started, we quickly popped the TS on Dougal. I was stunned when he just gave a big sigh, and settled down to sleep! :eek: Normally he would have been panting, pacing and barking all over the house.

Yes, it does take a bit of practice but you get there in the end.

Yes, as a professional dog trainer I use and recommend pressure wraps regularly. However, I have not seen the Thundershirt to result in any reduction in anxious behavior at all. Neither do I usually recommend DAP diffusers. If you decide to try DAP, I recommend the spray you put on a bandana, but it is only mildly effective and the effect wears off.

In terms of pressure wraps, I have seen the best effect and the most consistent results from the original and only patented pressure wrap, the Anxiety Wrap It is clinically proven to be highly effective (Tufts University) and is a much better made product. I have used it successfully for all types of severe anxiety.

Do you sell Anxiety Wraps by any chance PCT ?? I can assure you I did put it on correctly and my dog did not like it and was in fact very worried by it. She accepted the Thundershirt straight away, so we use that.
 
Thanks for all in th input, I will try a tail bandage type wrap first and go from there, of course today he seems to be have chilled and no weeing, typical :rolleyes:
 
I think they work better for anxiety rather than just over excitedness....... like pretty much everything else didnt make a blind bit of difference to Dexie....... interestingly he did not like the wrap either- and that was put on by a TTouch lady- ripped it off within 4 secs.

No, I do not sell them, but you can order online directly from the company or from various distributors. I thought you said you had difficulty getting the Anxiety Wrap on so was offering information I thought might be helpful, not just for you but for anyone else following this thread.
