Sorry, this should probably be in stable management but more people look in here! Have bought a full size Sabre Cordoba bridle for my daughter's horse for Christmas for competitions. It is a lovely bridle but tried it on him today and it was too small- especially the headpiece and the browband. His previous bridle was a full size Heritage and that was almost too big for him and he doesn't have a particularly big head (it's long rather than wide). I've looked on the Sabre website and the next size up according to the measurements given would be too big in the noseband. They don't seem to offer a mix and match service with the cordoba either. Has anyone else had any probs with the fitting of these bridles?

I have a horse with a large head and got the Sabre extra full....the noseband is on the last hole...its a big bridle in general!

I've thought about getting it altered but not got round to it yet!

Could you not just buy all the Sabre bits individually? I just bought a flash for mine before?

you can buy sabre bridle parts separatley

Thanks for responding folks. When I went on the website it said it only offered the mix and match for the hunter bridles and not for the Cordoba ones. However I think I will ring them tomorrow to double check that . Fingers crossed!

My sabre bridles always seem to be small around the browband, i always buy a cob size bridle and an extra browband in full size to get the perfect fit!

If you buy direct from Sabre they will put a bridle together in the sizes you need. I bought a Cordoba from them with full size headpiece and browband, and cob size everything else, at no extra charge

Yes, I bought one for my new lady and the XF was too big on the noseband and the cheek pieces and the F was too small on the brow band and noseband

I ended up taking it back and buying the Albion Full instead!
