This may sound like a very stupid question so apologies, just bought a bridle arrived today very pleased but am struggling to put it together as to me its not like a normal bridle!

Can anyone give a blonde some advice! or help

Thanks

what is is your struggling with exactly?

The throatlash does up on both sides and will be the thinner of the three pieces of leather coming off the headpiece, then there are two lots of straps, the underneath will be to attach the noseband to, then the cheekpieces, all of them do up on both sides.

Ive just bought one as well, and must admit after i took it all apart, was scratching my head on how it all went back together again. ;)

I am really pleased with it was nervous as i got it off ebay but what a bargin its like new and only paid £70 incl p&p :-) seems like much better leather than my Stubben

I love the fact the buckles are on both sides as well, plus the noseband is an integral part of the bridle and does up evenly on both sides, im not keen on these comfort bridles where the noseband passes over the top of the headpiece really.

Mine has duly been oiled as per instructions, and am hoping to use it for the first time on Friday.

How lovely hopefully if i need another bridle i shall certainaly buy new! i cant wait to try mine out may have to ride tonight come what may, so no christmas shopping done for the ones i love but horse gets a new bridle.....think my priorities may be slightly muddled!!

I got a 2nd hand Sabre bridle after my mare snapped the headstall on my old cheapie one. The Sabre stuff is droolworthy and it is so hard to find decent leather these days! Enjoy!

That's nice of Sabre to reply; I bought a new chain insert browband to go with my Ebay 2nd hand part bridle and the lady at Sabre was really helpful measuring them for me as my mare was inbetween sizes and the bridle was quite a wide 3/4 inch one. the browband was so nice when it arrived that someone else on my yard ordered the same one! Nice to know that good and personal customer service still exists!

It appears you're now sorted I'm glad to hear...but you should have just called or emailed us; we'd have been happy to explain :-)

I have a lovely lady called Yvonne has been very helpful, only yesterday she was helping decide which reins i should have to go with my Cordoba... still got to decide though :-) narrowed down to the laced reins or sure grip "dressage reins"
